The Gordon Robertson Career Centre for Beauty Care (GRCC) has built a solid reputation as a leader in beauty care education offering courses in aesthetics, hairdressing and electrolysis. All programs lead to Quebec Ministry Diplomas and are taught by qualified and experienced teachers who integrate their industry knowledge in their classes. Courses are offered in spacious salons where students develop the knowledge and skills needed for success in industry. After mastering basic techniques, students welcome clients from the community to further their experience while continuing to enjoy the support and guidance of their teachers. The school produces highly skilled beauty professionals with marketable and diverse abilities.
Built in 1994 the Gordon Robertson Career Centre was the first fully operational vocational Centre on the West Island. The Centre was constructed alongside Beaconsfield High School and named for Mr. Gordon Robertson who was a supporter of vocational education and friend to the Lakeshore School Board and its students. Mr Robertson’s focus on the rights and responsibilities of students continues to be a guiding principle at the Centre that carries his name.
